Many workplaces run team building activities each year that bring colleagues together and create moments of connection.
Team Challenge 2026 is a simple activity that combines teamwork, movement and purpose while helping disadvantaged children access the life changing experience of team sport.
Taking place between 4–10 May 2026, the Team Challenge invites organisations to gather their teams and take part in a fun activity that makes a genuine difference in the community.
What is the Team Challenge ‘Pass-a-thon’?
The Team Challenge Pass-a-thon is a simple activity ideal for workplaces, sporting clubs and friends.
Teams get together and attempt to pass a ball as many times as possible in 15 minutes, working together to build rhythm, communication and teamwork.
For teams that want to lean into the Challenge, there is a target to surpass 1,150 passes, representing one pass for every child currently supported by TeamSports4All.
The activity is designed to be inclusive and enjoyable for people of all fitness levels. Many organisations run the challenge during the workday and often head out for lunch or coffee together afterwards.
A Team Activity with Real Impact
Each corporate team that joins the Team Challenge contributes $1,500, which directly supports three disadvantaged children to play community sport for a year.
There is also an option for smaller teams to register as individuals at only $20 per person.
For many children the cost of registration, uniforms and equipment makes sport unaffordable. Without support they miss out on the friendships, belonging and confidence that come from being part of a team.
TeamSports4All works with schools, community organisations and local sporting clubs to remove these financial barriers and connect children into their communities through sport.
By taking part in the Team Challenge, workplaces help ensure more children have the opportunity to play.

Helping More Children Play Sport
Across Australia more than 500,000 children live in welfare dependent households and many miss out on playing local sport because it is unaffordable.
TeamSports4All believes every child should have the opportunity to experience the benefits of team sport including connection, belonging, confidence and improved physical and mental health.
Through the Team Challenge workplaces can play an important role in helping more children step onto the field and into their communities.
The goal for 2026 is to raise $75,000 and support 150 more children to play community sport.
