BackChat and TS4A 24 Hour Streamathon!
For the 24 hours on Thursday 17 September Will Schofield and the crew at BackChat Group Studios will be running a Streamathon to raise money for TeamSports4All! 🙌
This fantastic initiative will help kids facing financial hardship get to play sport, and enjoy the friendships, connections and sense of belonging that comes with it.
It’s going to be a ripper of a day with sports stars including Daniel Ricciardo, Damien Fleming, Daniel Gorringe, Grace Maher and Erin Fowler all helping to ‘Back a Kid’ to play team sport.
At TeamSports4All and BackChat Studios, we believe every kid deserves the chance to experience community sport, regardless of their family’s financial situation.
But more than 500,000 Australian kids are growing up in families experiencing financial hardship, where the cost of club sport simply puts it out of reach.
This Streamathon will help TeamSports4All remove that barrier for kids, and then cover the costs of registration, uniforms, footwear and equipment. Importantly we then stay alongside families with regular calls and ongoing support to help kids keep playing season after season, year after year.
Being part of a team is about much more than sport. It gives kids friendships, confidence, routine, positive role models and a real sense of belonging. It can also support their physical and mental wellbeing and help them stay more engaged at school.
Sport is the vehicle.
Changing lives is the goal.
But we can only do this with the support of people like these legends at BackChat – and people like you.
Any donation will help back a kid, and give them the chance to get on a team, and stay there for as long as they want to play.
