Change a Childhood
Julieta was 14, facing challenges not even an adult should have to deal with. She felt lost and overwhelmed, and couldn’t see a way forward. When TeamSports4All was suggested she wasn’t really sure how sport was going to help, but with nowhere else to turn, she gave it a go.
Within a day, TeamSports4All met with Julieta to talk about what sport she’d be interested in. She decided to try volleyball, and was thrilled to hear that everything would be paid for, all she had to do was turn up to training on Thursday.
From that day, Julieta’s life changed and she had something to hold on to, to look forward to and for the first time in years, felt like she belonged.
Now in her 20s she’s still playing, coaching, and participating in committees – giving back to her club and opening doors for others along the way.
She is also studying Youth Work and looking forward to a promising career helping even more kids. Something that never seemed possible to her at the start of her journey.
