Information about Team Sports 4 All.

About Us

We are passionate people who believe in the power of a strong inclusive community and believe that everyone should have access to community sport no matter what their circumstances are.

We believe, no child should miss out on playing sports

Team Sports 4 All was started by a two parents in 2011 who noticed two boys who watched their sons footy training and never joined in. When they asked the boys why they didn’t play the answer was simple; “our parents can’t afford to pay for us to play sport”.

They paid for the boys football registrations and uniforms and got them into a team;  the boys jumped at the opportunity to play a sport that they loved.

Since then we have continued to expand significantly with the number of kids we support growing each month, and are committed to supporting them year after year for as long as they want to play throughout their childhood.

We know that disadvantage often leads to isolation and disconnection. Community sport provides a powerful pathway to inclusion by building physical and mental health, social connection, resilience, and a sense of purpose. For many young people, it also opens pathways into leadership, coaching, volunteering, and employment.

At its heart, TeamSports4All is about belonging. By keeping children playing team sport, we help strengthen families, clubs, and communities, one team at a time.

What we do

TeamSports4All works with schools, community organisations, and local services to receive referrals for children and families experiencing financial hardship.

We fund the costs of participation, including registration, uniforms, footwear, and equipment, and link each child with a suitable local sporting club.

We partner closely with clubs to ensure children are welcomed, supported, and able to fully participate.

Our support is ongoing, with regular check-ins and assistance each month, for as long as a child wants to play team sport throughout their childhood.

Sport can increased confidence and build higher self esteem.

Help us make a change.

The benefits we have seen over the years are plentiful and include:

Positive Social Behaviours

Kids learn positive social behaviours – teamwork, respect for coaches and officials, self-discipline, and the rewards of hard work.

No Judgement

When they put the uniform on they feel and look like “all” the other kids with no judgement or question about their situation.

Avoid Ridicule

They avoid the embarrassment, particularly in the schoolyard, of being disadvantaged and not being able to afford to play sport.

Better Health Outcomes

The obvious health benefits of a more active lifestyle.

Decreases Social Isolation

And perhaps most of all (and we really notice this as we work with these kids and their families), playing club sport connects the whole family with their community and decreases their social isolation.

We couldn't do it without our generous supporters

We are incredibly grateful to the generous supporters who make TeamSports4All possible. Your support helps remove financial barriers so children from low income families can play community team sport, feel included, and belong.

Because of you, kids are not just getting on the field for one season, they are staying involved, building confidence, friendships and resilience over time.

Thank you for believing in the power of team sport and for standing with us to ensure no child misses out. Your contribution, in all its forms, is helping change lives and strengthen local communities.
