It’s not easy to ask for help…

Some background –

Single mum, teenage son, disengaged from school, socially isolated, poor mental health, working – low income and mum knows that the only way to help her son is to get him playing sport but she cannot afford it.

It was so great to receive this message after we got him into his chosen sport –

I just wanted to thank you on behalf of my son and I, for your help with his soccer fees, and being so generous with your time to co ordinate with the Soccer Club.  Asking for and accepting help is a difficult thing and sometimes a bit uncomfortable, but you and Team Sports 4 All made it much easier than I thought.  He is often struggling with his mental health and sport is so important to his routine. It gives him a great outlet, something to look forward to and a way to stay connected to his friends.  My physical limitations and the increasing cost of living make it really difficult to otherwise keep any sport for him a reality. I can’t thank you enough for the way you have handled our situation and smoothed away any embarrassment.  I wanted you to know that since you first met with us, what you do and have done has a real and positive impact on him and I’m so grateful.

Community Clubs Creating Opportunity

This year, TeamSports4All is proud to have supported over 1,000 children to access community sport, working in partnership with 418 community sports clubs across our service regions.

What we do

TeamSports4All works with schools, community organisations, and local services to receive referrals for children and families experiencing financial hardship.

We fund the costs of participation, including registration, uniforms, footwear, and equipment, and link each child with a suitable local sporting club.

We partner closely with clubs to ensure children are welcomed, supported, and able to fully participate.

Our support is ongoing, with regular check-ins and assistance each month, for as long as a child wants to play team sport throughout their childhood.
