Community Clubs Creating Opportunity

This year, TeamSports4All is proud to have supported over 1,000 children to access community sport, working in partnership with 418 community sports clubs across our service regions.

How Inclusion in Sport Changes Lives

At TeamSports4All, we are privileged to work alongside community sports clubs that go above and beyond to ensure children feel welcome, supported and able to participate, regardless of their family’s financial circumstances.

Our partner clubs exemplify what community sport does best: creating environments where children belong, confidence grows, and participation is valued as much as performance.

This year, TeamSports4All is proud to have supported over 1,000 children to access community sport, working in partnership with 418 community sports clubs across our service regions.

This impact reflects a collective effort made possible by clubs that choose inclusion, adapt their practices, and work alongside us to ensure financial or social barriers do not prevent children from participating in team sport.

Juventus Academy Melbourne, in partnership with Mazenod FC, brings a values-driven approach to community football. As part of the global Juventus Academy network, their programs focus on respect, inclusion, humility and joy in the game, welcoming children and families from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.

Their collaboration with TeamSports4All has enabled families facing financial pressure to say “yes” to sport. Whether it’s keeping a young player engaged for another season or ensuring siblings can play together, this support removes barriers quietly and respectfully, preserving dignity and strengthening community connection.

As the club notes, “When a child arrives at training, they don’t see barriers—they just see a ball, a coach and their teammates. Our responsibility is to make sure nothing gets in the way of that experience.”

Firestorm Martial Arts: Building Confidence Through Inclusion

Firestorm Martial Arts, led by founder and Head Instructor Michael Quin, has been part of the TeamSports4All community since 2022. With a strong foundation in martial arts, fitness and self-defence, Firestorm is deeply community-minded and proudly inclusive.

Through their partnership with TeamSports4All, Firestorm has supported children who may otherwise have missed out on martial arts training. The impact has been clear to the team at Firestorm including improved confidence, physical coordination, emotional regulation and a genuine sense of belonging. One child supported since 2022 now arrives early to every session, eager and engaged, reflecting the positive role that a safe and welcoming club environment can play in a child’s life.

As one parent shared, “I am so grateful for your support. It is helping him mentally so much, and he is gaining so much confidence.”

For Firestorm, inclusion is not an add on; it is central to how they serve their community in Melbourne’s east. TeamSports4All is proud to have such a strong and valued partnership with this club.

A Collective Effort Across Community Sport

While these stories highlight just two of our Community Club Partners, they reflect the commitment shown by sporting clubs across our network every day. Community clubs already do an extraordinary amount to support children and families through flexible payment arrangements, inclusive cultures, and volunteers who care deeply about participation and wellbeing.

TeamSports4All exists to complement this work, not replace it. By working together, we can ensure more children feel included, supported and able to enjoy the lifelong benefits of team sport.

What we do

TeamSports4All works with schools, community organisations, and local services to receive referrals for children and families experiencing financial hardship.

We fund the costs of participation, including registration, uniforms, footwear, and equipment, and link each child with a suitable local sporting club.

We partner closely with clubs to ensure children are welcomed, supported, and able to fully participate.

Our support is ongoing, with regular check-ins and assistance each month, for as long as a child wants to play team sport throughout their childhood.
